Prayer during typhoon
Dear Lord,
Thank You for keeping my family, friends and I safe
while the strong typhoon is passing by.
For those who were unfortunately affected,
we pray for comfort and rechanneling to the safe path.
You alone can help us.
Amen.
Review of typhoon-related Kankanaey words
udan = rain
dagem = wind
geday = land erosion
teg-in = cold
bayakbak = extremely strong drip of water
ewang = strong flow of water that is getting in along the way
The threat of the fusion of the strong wind, the downpour of rain, the whistle,
the darkness, the cold temperature, ... lingers. Have mercy on us.
