August 28 2011 Diary

August 28, 2011: Despite a very strong rain coupled with irreversible wind aggravated by flash floods in some neighborhood and road cuts along some routes, work was not cancelled at my work place. Thank God, He touched the hearts of those in the administration in the afternoon. No work from 1PM. Quite late!

Ironically, a few days before the life threatening typhoon, the administration issued a memorandum reminding every member of the institution about "safety" procedures. This made several gave the remark "May safety-safety nalalaman ang administration pero sa oras na kailangan gumawa ng hakbang para sa ika-sa-safety ng mga tao, salungat naman ang mga pangyayari dulot ng kanilang mga desisyon." Well, thank God pa rin, nothing bad happened aside from the WET experience. Blame it to the fact that we are just laborers. We need to work as instructed by the lords.

La Trinidad From Atop

Pictures of La Trinidad Valley and Kalugong

These photographs are very telling of what is La Trinidad nowadays.

La Trinidad Benguet

I have a strong feeling that La Trinidad Benguet is once under water. I trek to a site that made me get a top view of La Trinidad. The mountain is called Kalugong. It is a seat to rock formations. The Rock formations seem to model creatures living under water. I saw rocks mimicking crocodiles, sea lions and Hippopotamus. Dinosaurs figures are also observable. If you look closely at the rocks, they seem to have come from under water.
