Papas as a Kankana-ey noun is equivalent to patatas.
Patatas = papas = potatoes.
Potatoes are rootcrops that are cultivated in the vegetable farms of the cold areas of Benguet and Mountain Province provinces of the Cordillera region.
If potato planting goes well and that typhoons and drought don't get in the way, potato yields are harvested after 3 months of farm care. Potatoes are sorted based on sizes. Jumbo, xtra large, xtra, big, medium, small and marble are the usual labels of the selections based on sizes.
