dap-o, nga-eb, beggang, dakkilan

The closest Kankana-ey term for ash that I can think of is dap-o. In the traditional old houses of our Kankana-ey ancestors, the accumulated ashes within the fireplaces are called dap-o.

Nga-eb is the Kankana-ey term for the burning charcoal. The Ilocano word beggang which also refers to a burning piece of charcoal is also used to mean the same by some Kankanais.

Dakkilan refers to the arranged stones or iron that serve as pot holders when cooking over fires.
