Maligayang pagbati! 'Yan na lang ang aking bibigkasin.

Talking to Self (Re. Philippine Economic Situation)
The Philippine government outstanding debt to date is about 13 trillion pesos.
Such amount is almost impossible to account by any matured Filipino citizen.
Overwhleming Amount!
Given that many essential needs are out of reach for citizens who have been in need, where has the amount gone?
It seems the amount is never enough for the citizens ion need to get a bit of alleviation.
If this is the case, isn't it best if government should stop borrowing funds and let life be what it used to be.
Obviously, many are able afterall.
If we look at how everyone is spending for the costly christmas gimmicks this season, is it not telling of an abundance of fund for the many.
Parks are transformed into christmas villages where obviously expensive setup are on and many are spending just to experience the temporary mood.
Who need funds if the setups were premised on logical thinking and wise spending.
Maybe, it is best if the government should stop borrowing funds. ENoguh fund may be in and it may be a matter of making proper spending and investment.
Please free every citizen from an automatic debt that they would never spend for their own.

On ".Till Death Do Us Part"
During a casual chat with a friend whose status returned to single because her partner got into another domestic partnership, the friend uttered the essence of the phrase "'Till Death Do Us Part". She explained that moving on is definitely going to happen with time if the death of the husband is the reason for the breakdown of the union. Moving on may not happen if by chance, time and again, you get to bump into your x-partner as you go your way through any day. It is not impossible that if your partner did not leave you because he/she has moved to life after death, you will be meeting each other somewhere, sometime and the mood will go awkward, uneasy and difficult :)
Prize for attending wake/burials
The priest who officiated a mass during a wake of the late mother of a friend implied in his homily that if you want a team to welcome you to heaven when it will be your time to die, you must attend wakes and burials. The departed who die before you will form a team that will say WELCOME to the new world should your life on earth end. Of course, you will prefer that the time is not soon.

Hottest News in the Philippines Today 2 October 2022
A lottery draw happened the night before today.
The lottery game is known as the 6/55 Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office Lotto Game.
A player had to choose a group of 6 numbers from the numbers 1 2, 3, 4, 5, ..., 54, 55 for a fee of 20 pesos for the combination of 6 numbers.
If the 6 chosen numbers come out in any order during the drawing of 6 random numbers, the player wins a jackpot prize.
Mathematically, there are 28,989,675 possible unique combination of 6 numbers from the 55 different numbers. Therefore, a player who puts a
bet on 1 combination/group of 6 numbers has 1 out of 28,989,675 chance of winning the jackpot prize. Such transforms to 0.0000000345
or 0.000000345% probability of winning. The general implication is it is almost impossible to win.
Surprisingly, it was announced that 433 won the jackpot. Even more surprising is the nature of the numbers that came out during the draw.
The 6 numbers that came out are the multiples of 9 that are in the range of the 55 numbers. The combination of 9,18,27,36,45,54 turned out to
be the 6 numbers that came out.
Talk about randomness! It seems the numbers are defiant of the randomness concept.
Talk about an almost 0 probability of winning! It seems 0% chance is not real.
Talk about FORTUNE! Luck is life for the many.

Gusto ko nang bumitaw
"Gusto ko nang bumita" is the current popular Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
It seems the song is cuasing a Last Song Syndrome (LSS) to many emotional music lovers of the Philippines.
"Gusto ko nang bumitaw" can translate to "I want to give-up now" or "I am on the verge of giving up"

Ayuda
Ayuda is a Filipino word that means aid. It is a very popular word in the Philippines during these days. The Philippine government has announced that cash aid amounting to billions to trillions of pesos have been given to citizens.
Seemingly, the government borrowed funds elsewhere in order to have something to distribute to citizens who have entrusted their future to the government. Sadly, every working Filipino citizen who has never received even a centavo from the said funds are obligated to participate in the repayment of the loan :( Is it fair? Why did they not give the cash as loans to the citizens in need os that the citizen who received the amount will work to eventually repay the amount? Every citizen should be trained to plan and be ready for their future. They need the cash these days, that is given. People who have been ensuring that they will be able to survive the hardships need the cash as well. Of course, some people need help but they should be given the much needed help as they are held responsible.

Civil Service Employment Irony in the Philippines
In the Philippines, for one to be accepted as an employee in a government controlled office, one has to pass a quite challenging eligibility exam under the control of a government agency that is called the Civil Service Commission.
Every government office employee is assigned a rank that is the basis for the employee's compensation as specified in a law. Getting a job that has the lowest rank that is usually mapped a minimum wage that is barely enough to support the simplest lifestyle of one individual requires passing the civil service eligibility exam.
What seems absurd is that the committee in a municipal government office who subjects job applicants to stringent screening process is composed of elected officials who are not civili service eligibility exam passers. In fact, some municipal mayors (or even the president of the Republic!) who figuratively heads the committee is not a passer of the eligibility exam. Some municipal mayors and other elected officials are not even college or university degree holders. It is also a fact these elected offcials are receiving salaries that is more than 5 times higher than what the lowest rank government employee receives.
Is it fair? Only in the Philippines?
I can go to school when I am home but I cannot go to school when I am in school campus - a reality in today's school setup
Sometimes, you can only be able to join your class in classroom if you are at home rather than if you are physically present in the school campus.
Due to power interruption or the lack of internet signal within a school campus, it becomes impossible to attend a class that is being facilitated in an online platform.
Back at home, because of the availability of power and internet service, you can join the class.
Talk about "I am now in the school campus but I need to go home from school so that I can be in class"

Payout is a favorite word at this time
When cash aids are distributed to citizens, the process of distribution is referred to as payout by the department of social welfare and development.
It seems like citizens are being paid of dividends/compensations that they have not earned.
A database of recipients should be maintained so that repetitive payouts should not be made on the same citizen. Citizens should not depend on aids at the expense of hardworking taxpayers.
As they say, teaching people how to fish instead of giving them the fish may be a more promising strategy.
Popular word at this time
Ayuda(Tagalog) = Aid
Many Filipino citizens are hoping to receive a cash aid from the government.
Maraming mamamayang Filipino ang umaasang makatanggap ng perang ayuda mula sa gobyerno.

Products from Quirino Province
When my friend posted some goodies from Quirino Province, I did not hesitate to place an order. Who knows? the harvest may have came from the land that my family once owned. I remember, when I was just a kid, my parents brought me along to a place somewhere in the boundary of Quirino Province and Nueva Vizcaya. Fruits were abundant there then. Avocado fruits are just falling on the ground. Jackfruits are here and there. Bananas in quality sizes are at 10 cents per piece, pineapples are expensive at 1 peso per piece, the rivers are full of edible creatures. For some reason that I did not understabd as a kid, my father gave up the ownership of an acre of fertile soil.

Transliteration of a an Ibaloi Song that I heard on a Mother's Day
Ever since I was a baby.
My mama not on my side.
It’s because of her work in a place that is far away.
She said it is for our life to be better.
I cannot forget when I bid goodbye.
I was so devastated.
I have been counting the hours,
since you have left me to fall.
I cannot account the number of years that has passed.
Mama, when will you be,
be returned here beside us?
Mama, please come home.
I missed you so much.
My father, he has been whom I have been with.
He was the one who became my mother.
He has been accompanying me, he has been watching over me,
until these days when I am a grown-up.
I have envied other kids.
They have been with their mother and father.
But my father said, my child, do not worry.
We will be complete just the same.
Mama, when will you be,
be returned here beside us?
Mama, please come home.
I missed you so much.
Mama, when will you be,
be returned here beside us?
Mama, please come home.
I missed you so much.
I missed you so much.

ALGORITHMIC LIFE
Into the world you were added as an INPUT,
Then, you are through a usual algorithm for living,
You learned the fundamentals of good living courtesy of the PARAMETERS from your family and environment,
You got a formal education pioneered by the elementary school in your local community,
You needed to move and hurdle the more challenging educational step courtesy of the high school institution that is accessible from home,
You went on to earn a degree from the best university that your family was able to afford,
You had the capital to be engaged in a LOOP of productive work while you submitted your SPACE for continuous adjustment and improvement,
Later did you know that life’s algorithm has a step for reaping unfortunate and undesirable tokens,
Sadly, your body got a downgraded health quality as the worst,
Then a degradation of your power to give service has come,
You tend to acknowledge that your PROCESS may have to end,
You get into believing that your OUTPUT has been delivered,
You tend to appreciate the word enough and that your life’s algorithm may be ready to HALT,
You may yearn for more, you may desire for more,
But you know that life's algorithm is FINITE,
Afterall, FINITENESS is a quality of a good algorithm,
Time has to come for you to go slow,
Still, you may be able to control the EXECUTION duration of your life's algorithm,
Giving the best care to yourself may be the key.
The time to rest may come in a far future,
You really do not know,
Final TERMINATION may depend on a power beyond your control,
Oh yes, You know that processes are allowed outside and after the loop,
You can stay longer,
There may be more for your lif to run through.
Anyone who cannot travel elsewhere due to economic, time and health constraints is always contented by a visit of his home town.
You need not go far to experience the beauty of the world.
Be contented with what you can reach.
Just reach other places by mere imagination.

Philippine Election absurdities
On TV, political candidates are proudly announcing that they did something that is making life better in the Philippines. Someone claims that he made hospitalization free for the sick, Someone claims that he caused good paying work from home setup, ... You hear a lot. The ordinary people tend to believe them even if they do not see real manifestations of what these politicians are claiming. When was life better in this country when everything calls for a payment? The reality is, Filipinos are working hard to be able to pay taxes, to be able to buy essentials and pay additional tax for it, to be able to raise funds to be given as salaries to these politicians.

Is it passion fruit?
I am not sure if it helped. I am pretty sure that I am having a health problem lately. At nights, it is difficult for me to breath and I can hear the loud pumping sound of my heart, bong! bong! bong! despite taking my maintenance medicines.
My nephew brought this fruit home courtesy of my siblings' backyard plant somewhere else. After enjoying the fruit, I noticed some improvements in the rhythm of my heart.
I should eat more.

Thinking Aloud
Many were impressed when this candidate mentioned that her way to address the issues surrounding the nation's health insurance system (i.e. Philhealth) is to appoint/involve actuarial scientists in the matter of handling the funds by the health insurance system. The appreciation of the point seems to follow from the candidate's awareness of a field called actuarial science, a field not known by many.
The answer ended that way though. There is a probability that the actuarial scientists will recommend higher contributions from members as a way to prolong the life of the fund. should the recommendation be such, it will mean more expense from the ordinary citizen. Then, is it an alleviating solution?

Dream for a Better Tomorrow
Some people are just lucky.
They have nothing to worry about.
They are comfortably positioned.
They are enjoying a seat.
Everything is easy for them.
Here you are!
You always start the day with the question.
What problems are before me today?
True enough, a queue of concerns are there to be faced.
At times, you feel at fault when you have done nothing wrong in the first place.
There is an endless list of pressure-causing concerns to address.
You may entertain the thought of just giving up and let them be.
Life should be fair. There must be a way out.
Is there really no way for a good feeling of the day.
Is there hope?
Is there a better tomorrow?
There must be!
Affirm that you can be the architect of your state.
Yes, yes, yes.
There is a way and such way should be explored right now.
Goodbye to the dream of a better tomorrow.
Let the coming darkness be a sign of the end of the inequality.
Welcome the better days.
